On 17 July 2025, the Regional Centre for Maritime Studies (RCMS) hosted Mr. Francois-Xavier Masson, French Police Attaché at the Embassy of France in New Delhi, India, for a meaningful exchange with the Director of RCMS.
The meeting provided a valuable platform to share insights on cross-border maritime policing, regulatory harmonisation, and the evolving challenges facing coastal and marine jurisdictions. Both parties discussed potential avenues for training cooperation and future academic contributions toward regional stability in the Indo-Pacific.
The Director of RCMS emphasised the Centre’s role in cultivating skilled and legally aware personnel across defence, civilian, and environmental bodies, and welcomed the opportunity to deepen institutional linkages with France through capacity-building and knowledge partnerships.
This engagement is part of RCMS’s broader effort to build bridges across international law enforcement communities and contribute meaningfully to maritime governance dialogue at a global level.
