Mr. Giovanni Cremonini, Head of Sector for Maritime Security at the European External Action Service, visited the Regional Centre for Maritime Studies (RCMS) today (28 Feb 25). The delegation included Rear Admiral Yves Postec (Retired), the Maritime Security Coordinator of the ESIWA Project and Mr. Akos Baumgartner, the Political Attaché from the EU Delegation to Sri Lanka.

The delegation held discussions with Captain (ND) Chamila Mendis, the Director - RCMS and Lieutenant Commander (N) Manaranga Thilakarathne, the Director of Studies RCMS, on identifying potential areas for partnership and collaboration between EU maritime security initiatives and RCMS.
